Bitec has recently unveiled their Imper-Sol™ silicon coating line – a high-solid, low VOC, one-part silicone elastomeric that provides a durable, seamless, flexible waterproof membrane that resists lateral movement, shear and will allow for expansion and contraction. This protective coating is specifically designed for use in roofing applications over a variety of substrates like EPDM, TPO, PVC, modified bitumen and smooth BUR.
Coatings have been the fastest-growing segment of the commercial roofing industry for a long time now, but with this new line, Bitec elevates the product. Imper-Sol SI Silicone provides excellent UV protection compared to similar silicone coatings and offers increased resistance to moisture penetration. Imper-Sol SI Silicone provides excellent long-term protection through exceptional weatherability properties.
The coatings are single-component and can be applied by brush, roller, or spray, making installation quick and easy. These high-performance coatings provide customers with a sustainable option for extending the life of their roof system by eliminating the need for a full tear-off and replacement.
