A Storm Restoration Conference That Offers Much More Than Meets the Eye

SRC Summit Storm Restoration Conference
January 21, 2023 at 12:00 p.m.

By Cayden Wemple.

The SRC Summit is coming up and it’s not just your run-of-the-mill construction conference.

In a recent Roofing Road Trips episode, Heidi J. Ellsworth discussed the upcoming SRC Summit with none other than its founder, April Hall. Along with being the founder of the conference, April is the president of Storm Consultants, LLC. The SRC Summit is  a three-day conference that brings together contractors from across the United States. The event is meant to be a great opportunity for networking, relationship building and fun! The 2023 Summit will take place January 29 – February 1 at the Embassy Suites in Denton, Texas.

Along with the opportunities to network with so many amazing vendors, the conference is bringing in some pretty phenomenal minds to speak on the main stage. One of these minds is that of Ron White who is a two-time USA memory champion. Ron will share his memorization tactics that are excellent for remembering people’s names when you attend events with opportunities to network and saves you the embarrassment of that awkward “Oh hey..... you!” interaction with prospective business partners and clients.

To add to the excitement, there will be a women in leadership panel. It’s important to April to bring women-owned businesses to the conference, as she herself is a woman who owns a business in a male-dominated industry. April told Heidi, “I'm always big about bringing women in because we are still a minority in this industry and so it's women supporting women. And we're able to all get together and meet at SRC each year and some other events that I do too.” she continued, “When I first started this, there were hardly any women at events, so I was like ‘I’ve got to change this.’ So it's growing each and every year, we have more and more women attendees.”
