If you haven’t noticed yet, the employees at Tremco and WTI really love their jobs! Let’s see what a day in the life of the Business Ops team looks like.
Donna Napier is the TremCare administrator at Tremco. TremCare is the company’s comprehensive roof maintenance program that helps prevent premature deterioration and keeps roofs in top working order. Donna just celebrated three years at Tremco and she’s the person to talk to for pricing, renewals, rooftop history and more. She really enjoys the teamwork at the company and has been a little surprised about how global and far-reaching the company is. “I was amazed at how many branches and sister companies we have all over the world, as well as all the places that our products and teams have been a part of,” Donna said.
Ben Smith is a CAD Operator/ISD Draftsmen for the company. He’s worked there for 15 years, after starting as an emergency hire referred by a family member. “After the immediate purpose of my hire was caught up, I worked to become more involved with as many of the department processes my supervisor(s) would allow,” explained Ben. “I feel more energized knowing that I make a difficult job less difficult to perform in the field for our techs. Their gratitude lets me leave for the day knowing I made a difference.”
Cheri Weber joined the Tremco team 2 ½ years ago in the warranty department as a Warranty Administrator. Her job is to set up the contracts for the warranties and create service orders for the final inspections. Once the final paperwork is submitted to her, she issues and bills the warranties. She also creates and activates the maintenance plans for future inspections. Cheri came to Tremco on the referral of a friend who always had good things to say about the company. She was surprised by the longevity of the team. “When I started, I sat next to someone who was here for 50 years before retiring. That says a lot about this company!” she told us.
Tamara Roy works in Customer Service at Tremco following a long background in the state’s Department of Corrections where she was a Certified Hostage Negotiator and Instructor. Communication is important in customer service and Tamara’s skills fit the role well. “Being in a position of service is what I truly enjoy and that encompasses serving my community, my church and my customers,” said Tamara. “When I sit down every morning at my desk, I know in some way I’m going to have a positive effect on someone – a co-worker, a contractor, a sales rep.”
Tamara really appreciates the closeness of the team and the company culture. “I have made what I consider to be some lifelong friends outside of my department with whom I’ve shared the highs and lows of my personal life – not just my workday. Having that type of personal relationship makes working here more than just a job. I look forward to coming to work and facing whatever challenges arise in my region.”
Jessica Rink is a General Services Project Administrator with the company and has worked there for 10 years. She serves as administrator for the NW and SW Regions and takes care of payroll for the technicians, sets up and reviews Patch & Repair Projects, handles billing, credit issues, pays invoices, and works with area supervisors. She came to Tremco after learning about the company from her sister. She said she appreciates “…the great co-workers [that] help get you through some long days.”
Stephanie Bowers has worked at Tremco for 3 years as a General Contracting Project Administrator. She handles project questions, customer billings, submittal requirements, subcontractor PO’s, subcontractor billings, change orders and certified payroll. Stephanie appreciates the great co-workers that she has, saying, “It’s a large group and every day someone will make you laugh.”
Brittany Moguel joined the Tremco team just last year as a QC Specialist, tracking and entering leak information into the company’s computer system. Her mom works for Tremco and thought it would be a great place for Brittany to work. Turns out mom was right! “She thought that I would love working here as much as she does,” she said. “One thing that surprised me about working at Tremco is how nice and friendly everyone is.”
With so many happy employees its pretty apparent that Tremco/ WTI has a pretty great culture. If you would like to work for a company like this, you’re in luck, they are hiring.
