By Cass Jacoby.

Ice and water infiltration are no match for these TRI-BUILT® underlayments, which work to deliver peace of mind in addition to a high-performing roof.

Whether you live in direct lines of hurricanes or in hailstorm alley, a home needs to be able to stand up against extreme weather. Be it wind, snow, moisture or heat, contractors and homeowners alike need high-quality products on their roof that the can depend on to withstand the elements. When it comes to a name that you can trust, rely on TRI-BUILT to provide high-quality residential building materials that deliver professional results. Here are three products designed to outlast ice and water.

1 - TRI-BUILT Self-Adhered Shingle Underlayment

TRI-BUILT Self-Adhered Shingle Underlayment is a modified-asphalt fiberglass reinforced membrane roofing underlayment that is specifically designed to self-adhere on sloped roof surfaces. It acts as a secondary seal under metal, shingles or tile to prevent interior leaks.

This underlayment self-seals around nails and fasteners for lasting watertightness. When you use TRI-BUILT Self-Adhered Shingle Underlayment, you can expect a fully adhered system that prevents lateral moisture migration. Effective and hard-wearing, this underlayment has a split-back release liner for easier handling during application, making it easy and quick to install. Plus, this underlayment is slip resistant.

2 - TRI-BUILT Granular Surfaced Self-adhering Underlayment

This TRI-BUILT Self-Adhering Underlayment similarly provides a waterproof barrier for vulnerable areas on a roof. TRI-BUILT Granular specifically provides a waterproof barrier as a second line of defense against wind-driven rain or ice damming.

Its cold weather flexibility makes this underlayment easy to install even at colder temperatures and performs well when the weather gets chilly. Additionally, it is designed with a taped selvage edge for three inches of edge lap protection.

3 - TRI-BUILT High Temperature Metal

TRI-BUILT High Temperature Metal underlayment is a great choice for not just metal roofs, but tile, shingle and slate as well. It is made from a high melt rubberized bitumen and laminated polypropylene surface, so it can be used in high heat conditions of up to 260°F. It also protects against harsh elements like wind and rain and prevents ice and water dams.

Conclusion

Selecting the proper construction materials makes all the difference in the future of a roof. By using high-quality materials that are specifically made to protect a home from ice and water, you will ensure a more water and weather-tight home, providing your clients peace of mind.
