We are only a few weeks away from the number one event for starting and/or growing your roofing company’s service department! ServiceCon 2025 will be hosted in Houston, Texas from March 12 through 14, 2025. This event is designed to give roofing contractors in the field the knowledge, tools and connections needed to incorporate successful and sustainable service offerings into their business practices. To learn more about ServiceCon, Coffee Shops writer Dani Sheehan sat down with Cody Kline, a presenter at the event and the CEO and managing partner of CommercialRoofer.com. He outlined three main reasons ServiceCon is a unique opportunity to level up your business.
In the two days that ServiceCon runs for, there will be countless opportunities to learn from industry thought leaders and experts. Whether you are attending sessions for one of the 4+ primary speakers (who are worth 560M in combined service production) or networking in one of the many daily workshops, this is a unique opportunity to meet with your industry peers and leaders. Cody elaborated, “What other place in the world could you meet with, you know, hundreds of other business owners that are all working on the exact same business issue or have the same business goals as you?”
And while the event is only two days long, the knowledge, tools and proven strategies you will walk away with will accelerate your success by eliminating the need for years of trial and error. Cody explained, “Could you figure this out yourself? Could you watch YouTube videos? Could you join commercial roofer university? Could you just figure it out through? Like bulldozing your way through it like? You could, but this is going to be far more efficient, it is going to collapse the amount of time that it takes to get your service department either growing to the point that you want it to be or to get it even started.”
Similarly, by avoiding the trial-and-error phase using knowledge gained at ServiceCon, your service department will find success much faster than if you had tried to bulldoze your way through the process all on your own. And that path to success will have fewer mistakes or scars. Cody shared, “You could either like I said, bulldoze your way through all of these things and go through all these issues that could lead to losing money or damaging your reputation by doing something incorrectly. Or you could just come to ServiceCon, open your mind and learn from other’s journeys.”
