At Montana Roofing Association (MRA), building relationships and growing their community means bringing contractors together from across the state. For the second year, they hosted their annual fishing trip in July with a great turnout! With a full boat carrying fifteen people, they explored Flathead Lake with Mo Fish Charters in Bigfork, Montana, bringing in five fish, while six others got away.
President Jake Magalsky was thrilled to see so many new faces and get to know new members, with only two people having attended the event the previous year. He mentioned that western Montana roofers were well represented. They wrapped up the day at the Raven with burgers, beer and comradery, adding to the traditions they’re building for this trip!
Feeling like you’ve missed out on all the fun? Don’t be discouraged, they’ve already set the date for the 3rd annual MRA fishing trip on August 2, 2024. Registration will be open for fifteen people again, but if there is enough interest, they’ll expand an additional six spaces on a second boat. So spread the word! There may also be an option to jetski in the afternoon if enough people want to. Discounted tickets are available for MRA members, and non-members will receive a one-year membership for attending. Lunch and drinks are provided, but make sure to acquire your fishing license ahead of time.
Thanks to everyone who attended and supported the trip. MRA is so thrilled to be able to offer it again next year! Keep a lookout for additional details on their website.

About the Montana Roofing Association
The Montana Roofing Association (MRA) was formed in 1988, as the Montana Roofing Contractors Association. It was later incorporated in 1991. The goal of the association is to bring roofing contractors together from across the state and to provide them with education on the laws, regulations and rules affecting the roofing industry, and to educate them on the newest roofing trends and products in the industry. Over the years the Montana Roofing Association has grown its membership to allow manufacturers, distributors and architects to become full members and hold board positions.
