New Jersey Contractor Gives Back with Every Roof Installed

New Jersey Contractor Gives Back with Every Roof Installed
September 13, 2017 at 11:14 a.m.

Roof4Roof believes strongly in helping others and gives back thousands each year.

Montclair, New Jersey-based Roof4Roof is owned by Chuck Anania who recently told the Bloomfield Patch, “One of life’s most basic needs is shelter and keeping a safe, dry roof over your family’s heads has become increasingly more difficult for many homeowners.”

To help, Anania contributes a portion of job proceeds to help families in need. To date, he has given $700,000 of his company’s profits to help 700 families in the U.S. and overseas. Anania explained to the Patch that he was first inspired to give back after a life-changing trip to Cali, Colombia. He saw firsthand the “extreme poverty and terrible conditions” and made up his mind to do something about it. He still makes an annual trip to Colombia to help families with roofing and emergency home repairs and he also gets involved at home on a local level.

When he learned from one of his employees that their church, Skyline Community Church, had found and was renovating its first permanent location, Anania stepped in to help. Skyline Pastor Chris High told the Patch that while getting the building was fantastic it came with a lot of expenses to renovate. “It was pretty clear we needed some help with the roof.”

Anania called the church and offered to fix the roof. Pastor High said that the church will now be able to use those funds for its Skykidz children’s program which teaches children in kindergarten how to make wise choices.

This isn’t the first time that Anania has been in the news for his good deeds. In 2012, he rode his bike 500 miles to raise funds and awareness of repairing roofs for people in need.

Do you know of someone in the industry who is ‘doing good deeds’ in their community? Help us catch them at it. Send news and information to info@rooferscoffeeshop.com.
