National Women in Roofing (NWIR) is a volunteer-based organization that supports and advances the careers of women roofing professionals and provides networking, mentoring, education and recruitment opportunities for women of all ages in the roofing industry.


SPEAKERS: NRCA’S 2019 INITIATIVES: GET INVOLVED, KEEP YOUR WORKERS AND ELEVATE THE ROOFING INDUSTRY

Jared Ribble, NRCA Jared Ribble’s extensive speaking experience has led him around the world presenting to groups from Nashville, TN to Moscow, Russia. He is proud to join the NRCA team as an ambassador of the revolutionary roofer certification program from NRCA - ProCertification. Additionally, Jared brings his 20 years of concert performance and management experience to NRCA University managing their Qualified Trainer Conferences around the US.

STATE OF THE STATE: ROOFS

J. Alan Robertson, Assistant State Architect, AIA J. Alan Robertson graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a bachelor’s in architecture and has been a licensed architect since 1991. J. During this time, J. Alan has worked on different architect teams in the State of Tennessee, both in as employed and in his own private practice. He is currently serving as the Assistant State Architect for the State of Tennessee and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and CSI.

PREDICTABLE REVENUE: GETTING OFF THE REVENUE ROLLERCOASTER

Ryan Groth, Construction Sales Technology Ryan Groth is an entrepreneur from South Florida who played professional baseball with the LA Angels after a shining college career. Ryan began his career in business after being personally mentored by a group of South Florida CEO's, one of which grew a local commercial roofing business from $6 MM per year after the 2008 recession to a high performing service and reroof sales organization that has grown exponentially to the tune of $50 MM and still growing. Because of this mentorship, Ryan sold a proprietary Sales CRM tool to the specialty contracting industry, while becoming the "Sales Development Guru" because of his hands-on experience helping to develop the South Florida Commercial Roofer along with hundreds of others who subscribed to the program.

WHAT EVERY ROOFER SHOULD KNOW BUT IS AFRAID TO ASK

Liz Tipping, JD, Cotney Construction Group Liz Tipping has more than 15 years’ experience handling civil, commercial, and criminal lawsuits in Nashville, Tennessee. Liz brings this vast litigation experience and her passion for advocating for her clients to Cotney Construction Law. She works hard to provide exceptional service to her clients as they navigate the often confusing and overwhelming world of the courtroom so that her clients can have peace of mind that their interests are being protected. Prior to joining Cotney Construction Law, Liz worked for a nationally-renowned law firm, where she learned how to be a trial lawyer from some of the best litigators in the country. She has successfully represented clients in both jury and non-jury trials and will fight for her clients all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States. Liz is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School and has been a Nashville resident ever since.

Awareness and Response to Active Shooter Threats

Brink Fidler, Founder & President of Defend Systems Having spent nearly two decades in law enforcement, Brink Fidler respectably served with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department as well as the 20th Judicial District Drug Task Force in Nashville. In addition to his regular law enforcement duties, he also served as an adjunct firearms and tactics instructor. He has served as an officer, narcotics investigator, patrol sergeant, narcotics sergeant, and retired as the Director of the Drug Task Force in Nashville. During his extensive career, Fidler directed and supervised the most complex investigations. These multifaceted investigations involved hundreds of court-ordered wiretaps, thousands of hours of physical and electronic surveillance, and hundreds of search warrants throughout the United States. Years of experience provided Fidler with knowledge for security and led him to create Defend Systems.

Greg Hayne, CEO of Hayne Coaching Group, Inc. Greg Hayne is the owner of the Hayne Coaching Group, Inc. Greg helps roofing contractors find and implement better, smarter, more innovative ways to work. He is a "thought leader" and unconventional thinker when it comes to finding ways for roofing contractors to better embrace our ever-changing world. With his help, his clients get "a step ahead" as their competition continues to struggle, constantly playing catch up, as the business climate becomes ever more demanding. He is in demand as a trainer, presenter, and speaker on these topics as well. His Creating Great Service training, support and implementation program is proven to assist commercial roofers to grow their service departments in both size and profitability. Recently, he has begun helping contractors grow their whole company with ESE (peer) groups. These groups “Educate, Stimulate and Expand” their contractor members. Each group is led by an experienced facilitator who ensures that all members get the maximum value from the time they invest. Greg is a certified NLP practitioner, a certified professional behavior analyst, and an ICF credentialed coach, all of which he utilizes in his work with contractors.
