Jeffrey Frye, former Major League Baseball (MLB) second baseman. Frye has played for the Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, and Toronto Blue Jays for all or part of eight seasons between 1992 and 2001.
Drafted by Rangers in 1988. MLB debut in 1992
Signed as a free agent to Red Sox in 1996
After 4 years with Boston, traded to the Colorado Rockies
Signed as a free agent with the Toronto Blue Jays.
He made history on August 17, 2001, when he became the second Blue Jay in history to hit for the cycle.
Frye's final big league appearance came on September 20, 2001.
Frye began working as an agent after retiring.
