The new position will work closely with the CEO to oversee and develop various departments and ensure the continuous improvement of the company’s products and services.

SAGINAW, MICHIGAN — Duro-Last, Inc. is pleased to announce the hiring of Mike Tracey as Director of Continuous Improvement. In this newly-created position, Mike will work closely with Duro-Last’s Chief Executive Officer Tom Saeli to develop and oversee the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Engineering Services departments. He will also oversee the continuous improvement of existing products and services, new product research, and the overall customer experience.

Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan-Flint and comes to Duro-Last from Acument Global Technologies where he served for 22 years in various positions including Director of Operations, Regional Materials and Distribution Manager, and most recently as Director of Material Management. During his time at Acument, Mike was instrumental in implementing lean scheduling systems for the organization.

Duro-Last is committed to sustainable practices at all levels of manufacturing, installation, and customer experience. Through the efforts of the Director of Continuous Improvement, additional focus will be given to this commitment by engaging teams across the John R. “The rich history of the John R. Burt story and the company culture drew me in to this opportunity,” explained Mike. “I’m looking forward to exploring where lean principles can be expanded to drive the Duro-Last company.”
