Antis Roofing Gears Up for Annual Movember Foundation Fundraiser

Here are some great tips on how your business can choose a charity, such as the Movember Foundation, and engage your clients and employees to participate.

Every November, Antis Roofing supports the Movember Foundation, the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round. They address some of the largest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. Antis’ support of Movember Foundation was in fundraising and advocacy, with a close Antis friend by their side, Mike King, who has been battling prostate cancer for years.

Antis Roofing kicks off its Movember Foundation campaign with a luncheon at Bosscat Kitchen, including 20 of their key stakeholders. Last year they hosted a whiskey tasting for everyone, which included Bosscat’s whiskey expert named “Moustache Matt” to help them get everyone in the spirit.

In 2016, their efforts in raising money and awareness for Movember included many people, and ended with a grand total of $1,100 raised by the team. Technicians wore Movember Mustache hats on the roofs throughout the month of November, the Antis male office staff and field technicians all grew their mustaches out for the cause, and the sales and marketing team dropped off blue cake balls to clients all over Orange County, Inland Empire, and Los Angeles with contest details on the tags to encourage people to donate and support Movember.

The company also created a fun contest so that everyone could be included (men and women) and to incentivize people to get involved. The contest details were as follows: To receive an Antis Movember Hat and to be entered into the grand prize drawing of Whiskey tasting at Bosscat Kitchen: 1. Donate to the Movember Foundation on the Antis MoTeam page, and 2. Grow your “Mo” and post a pic on social media, tagging Antis and including hashtags #AntisMoBros  #Movember.

Antis Roofing promoted its charitable efforts in many ways.

  • They posted on social media with contest details and updates throughout the month
  • Posted about contestants with their mustaches and donations
  • Spotlighted Movember Foundation as their charitable partner in the company’s Honda Center Suite for the entire month of November and encouraged guests in the suite to support Movember by growing their staches and donating to our team page on the Movember website
  • Added a Movember moustache onto all of their branding for the month
  • Took 10 people along with the winner of their contest back for another whiskey tasting at Bosscat Kitchen.

Antis Roofing loves and supports the Movember Foundation because of the facts supporting their work. Prostate cancer rates are on the rise, testicular cancer rates have doubled in the last 50 years, and 510,000 men take their life every year, which is one every minute! We are passionate about helping add to the successful reduction of the amount of men dying prematurely!
