The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) presents its National Industry Excellence Awards at the SprayFoam Convention and Expo each year. These awards honor members who have executed new and innovative projects, recognizing their best work from the preceding year. Annually, the SPFA receives 60-100 entries from its members, showcasing outstanding projects judged by an independent panel. The projects are evaluated based on exceptional quality, uniqueness, speed of application, problem-solving abilities and safety considerations.
The awards are divided into several categories, including Spray Foam Roofing (over and under 40,000 square feet), Coating System Only, Specialty Applications and Insulation. In each category, a runner-up and winner are chosen. Contractors who receive these awards benefit significantly in their credibility, marketing and exposure across the industry. Recognition comes with a banner for their office, acknowledgement on the SPFA website and a badge that can be displayed on their own website. This recognition boosts a company's reputation, which can help attract more business and build trust with potential customers.
Manufacturers also benefit greatly from these awards. By recognizing contractors who have used their products, the manufacturers gain visibility and credibility. This has led to increased collaboration between contractors and manufacturers, with many manufacturers encouraging roofing contractors to apply for awards and even assisting them with the application process. When their products are highlighted in award-winning projects, it strengthens their market presence.
These awards play a pivotal role in enhancing the spray foam industry. They encourage innovation and push contractors to deliver exceptional results, fostering a competitive spirit that leads to higher quality and more unique projects. The recognition of excellence not only boosts individual businesses but also raises the industry’s standards overall. The network of contractors and manufacturers connecting through the SPFA creates opportunities for partnerships, shared learning and collective improvement.
