SPFA Convention keynote speaker
January 18, 2023 at 12:00 p.m.

Renowned digital sales and marketing leader to address National Spray Foam audience on February 14, 2023.

The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) has announced the keynote speaker for the upcoming SprayFoam 2023 Convention & Expo happening February 12 through 15 in Daytona Beach, Florida. On the morning of Tuesday, February 14, international speaker and recognized digital marketing specialist Marcus Sheridan will lead the conference’s widely anticipated keynote address.

Marcus Sheridan’s address, The Trusted Brand: How to Attract the Best Customers and Team Members in an Ever-Changing Digital World, will explore challenges of and solutions for cultivating customer leads and talent in today’s digital age. Attendees of the session will: discover how research habits have changed for both customers and job candidates, proving why it’s important to think outside the box in order to be seen and heard; learn how transparent and honest content will move customers and candidates to action; and find out specific action items that can be immediately taken to stand out, win trust and withstand the ebbs and flows of a changing market. Sheridan’s keynote will conclude the general session, which commences at 8:00 a.m. in the Ballroom at the Ocean Center, and which kicks off with the SPFA president’s message featuring Bonnie Strickler and welcome address with SPFA executive director Rick Duncan.

“Securing Marcus Sheridan as the keynote speaker for SprayFoam 2023 Convention & Expo is a coup for the spray foam industry,” says Rick Duncan, executive director of the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance. “Effective marketing and sales in today’s digital environment is of top interest and concern for both contractors and manufacturers in our industry. There’s a lot of excitement about Marcus’ upcoming keynote.”

Known for his ability to excite, engage and motivate audiences, Marcus Sheridan was named “One of 20 Speakers You Don’t Want to Miss” by Forbes and a “Web Marketing Guru” by the New York Times. He has also been featured in Inc. magazine, The Globe and MailForbes, and many additional media outlets. As an owner of IMPACT, Sheridan has established one of the country’s most successful digital sales and marketing agencies. Annually he gives over 70 global keynotes, inspiring audiences in the areas of sales, marketing, leadership and communication. Mashable rated Sheridan’s book - They Ask, You Answer – the “#1 Marketing Book” and Forbes listed it as one of “11 Marketing Books Every CMO Should Read.”

SprayFoam 2023 Convention & Expo annually brings together industry participants in spray foam insulation, roofing, specialty applications, coatings and related equipment from all over the U.S. and abroad. This year’s event features professional certifications and pre-convention events happening February 12 and 13 as well as the full convention agenda on February 14 and 15.

The event’s agenda encompasses a variety of offerings including: 45 educational break-out sessions; a robust exhibits hall showcasing nearly 100 companies; SPFA Professional Certification Program (PCP) courses, installer training, written exams and free field exams; the ABAA Certified applicator Training; the 18th Annual SPFA National Industry Excellence Awards ceremony and luncheon; Golf Tournament; member and contractor-only events; and an entertainment-filled Closing Reception and Networking Party.

New this year to the show is Building Science Fundamentals, a two-day, co-located seminar on February 12 and 13 hosted by Dr. Joseph Lstiburek, Ph.D., P.Eng., ASHRAE Fellow, principal of Building Science Corporation. Lstiburek will teach the basic knowledge needed to design and build durable, energy-efficient, affordable, and healthy buildings.

Additionally, SPFA is also launching the all-new Field Exam Experience, offered before Professional Certification Field Exams each day. Designed to dispel fear about field exams, the Field Exam Experience will tour participants through each of the field exam stations and provide them with practical guidance as to how field exams are conducted, using an actual field exam set up.
